The OeAD is the Austrian agency for international mobility and cooperation in education, science and research.

The OeAD advises, promotes and supports international cooperation in education, science and research. We support strategic development and accompany implementation measures. We analyse international developments and work out appropriate recommendations and measures.

The basics: continuous benchmarking, knowledge management, knowledge processing and permanent dialogue with our partners.

Self-concept and main tasks

The OeAD is the central service point for European and international mobility and cooperation programmes in education, science and research.

As a full service provider we take care of the conception and carrying out of the programmes.
We coordinate the international higher education marketing and represent the education and research location Austria worldwide.
We are expert partners for strategic tasks in international cooperations.

Core business

Our core business is the exchange of people of all ages and educational levels. In this we support institutional cooperations in Europe and worldwide.
We accompany international activities and coordinate and support their implementation.
A special focus is for example on development cooperation and on education export.
