Need a break from the city? Join us for a refreshing Semmering Hike with ESN on Sunday, 19 October 2025, and spend a day surrounded by mountains, forests, and great company!

We’re heading to the beautiful Semmering region — a UNESCO World Heritage area known for its stunning scenery and crisp mountain air. The hike is moderate, ideal for anyone who loves being outdoors or just wants to enjoy an adventure with other students. Expect peaceful forest paths, breathtaking viewpoints, and plenty of photo opportunities along the way.
 
We’ll meet at Wien Hauptbahnhof and take the train together to Breitenstein am Semmering at 09:23. Don’t worry about train tickets — a group ticket is already included in the event price, so we’ll all travel together and save money. After our hike, we’ll take the train back from Breitenstein am Semmering at 17:16, getting back to Vienna at 18:32.
