This trip will take you to one of the most tragic parts of Austrian history: Mauthausen used to be a concentration camp during the Nazi regime between 1938 and 1945. The Mauthausen Memorial is a one-of-a-kind museum - visiting it will be a challenging and humbling experience, but it is worth it, as it provides you with a new perspective on Austrian history. On our trip, we will leave Vienna with our chartered bus on Sunday morning and arrive in Mauthausen around noon for a professionally guided tour of the memorial site. After visiting the site, we will return to Vienna. ► WHERE? * meeting point is at the parking lot in Schönbrunn: Schönbrunner Schloßstraße 50, 1130 Vienna ► WHEN? *On Sunday, the 3rd of April, from 8:30 am to around 5 pm. ► HOW MUCH? * 20€ with ESNcard, 25€ without ESNcard ► WHAT TO BRING? * something to drink and a snack for lunch * a proof of vaccination or recovery of Covid (2G rule). Please get tested as well (PCR or Antigen)!
