Hiking is an important part of the Austrian culture so why not starting your time in Vienna with a little hike? There are plenty of nice trails all around Vienna and a hike is also a perfect opportunity to make new friends and get to know each other a little bit better. Join ESN on a cozy hike right at the border of Vienna, in the middle of wintry sleeping vineyards, a tiny little castle with Old Austrian History and scenic views over the city of Vienna. 

You don’t need special equipment or outstanding fitness. Just bring good shoes and prepare yourself with enough water and a few snacks for a 10 km walk (difficulty is easy).
